How The VI Verifies News, Rumors, and Leaks
Our verification ladder, in plain language.
Six levels
Officially Confirmed, Reliably Reported, Analysis, Rumor, Unverified and Debunked. Every article, database entry and ticker item carries one.
Anything tagged Rumor or Unverified displays a warning above the article body, every time.
Leaks
We do not host, mirror or link to leaked material. We will report that a leak exists and what is claimed, labelled Unverified, without distributing it.
Corrections are published on a dedicated page rather than edited away silently.
How we know this
Every claim above is traced to the sources listed below. Where a source is a public statement from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, we mark the claim as officially confirmed. Interpretation is labelled Analysis.
